Specifications

  • Acoplaster F is a sustainable acoustic plaster system with outstanding sound absorption and the most refined surface finish on the market. The system consists of two components: A non-combustible mineral wool panel and an acoustic plaster top layer. The acoustic plaster material is applied in a total thickness of 35 mm (3 mm panel adhesive, 30 mm mineral wool, 2 mm plaster layer).

  • The various layers are applied in several process steps. First, the panel material is glued over the entire surface of the plasterboard or directly onto the building fabric and attached. The butt seams are sealed with Acofiller. Then the plaster layer is applied. Once the plaster has dried, it is sanded down and any unevenness is corrected. Any damage that occurs at a later stage can be repaired easily and almost invisibly.

  • Since the plaster is made of 80% cellulose, its weight after application is a light 7-8 kg/m².

  • Wherever acoustics play a crucial role. For instance, in common areas, public buildings, sports halls, restaurants, living rooms, offices, churches, etc. Acoplaster F can be used on almost any substrate, and thanks to its hygroscopic properties, even in swimming pools.

  • Efectis, 1350-1:2018, B-s2.d0, which corresponds to fire behavior group RF2 of the VKF fire protection guideline in Switzerland.

  • White and any other specified color by adding pigments to the binder.

  • Dust and cobwebs can be removed with a vacuum cleaner using a soft textile nozzle attachment. Another option is dry ice cleaning. Upon request, we're happy to offer a maintenance contract for both possibilities.

  • Minor repairs or touch-ups can easily be carried out by hand.

  • The material can be over-sprayed using an airless spray technique. Applying paint with a roller is not recommended.

    • The substrate needs to be clean, dry, and grease-free. Make sure to hermetically seal any holes and cracks, and protect metal parts from water and corrosion.

    • The surface quality of the substrate dictates the flatness of the final result, so any unwanted irregularities should be sanded down beforehand.

    • Junction boxes and similar components need to be adjusted to match the insulation layer's thickness.

    • For spotlights, we offer tailor-made solutions like sleeves or 3D-printed constructions.

    • If there's no flush wall or frame finish, a finishing profile needs to be installed on-site.

    • Installation is carried out using mobile scaffolding and/or scissor lifts.

    • The temperature should be at least 15°C during and after application.

    • To speed up the drying process, we recommend using fans and construction dehumidifiers; a moisture meter is provided for monitoring.
